Three Domains, One Team.

At Varick, we work across three critical domains: Quantitative Research, Trading and Business Operations. Our researchers, engineers and traders collaborate closely to design and implement advanced quantitative models and the technology infrastructure.

Quantitative Research

Quantitative Research includes both researchers and engineers, working side by side to develop, test and implement systematic trading strategies. Researchers apply statistical and machine learning techniques for uncovering patterns in large datasets. Engineers build the tools, infrastructure and simulation frameworks. Together, they drive the innovation at the core of our investment process.

Trading

Trading ensures that strategies are executed with efficiency and precision. Traders work closely with both research and engineering to monitor performance and refine execution logic.

Business Operations

Business Operations provides the foundation which allows the firm to scale efficiently and operate with institutional discipline. This includes engineering, risk management, compliance, reporting and the firm-wide technology infrastructure. Engineers within this domain build and maintain the core systems — from data pipelines to deployment platforms — which support research, execution and operational excellence.
